Saddle Up and Ride
1997

Based on requests from a growing following, this debut album for Prickly Pair is a delightful all acoustic offering of traditional, cowboy folk tunes, original & contemporary material and tunes that show the trail back to the Celtic roots of cowboy music. This recording speaks of their Western lifestyle and maintains an exclusively Americana folk art form. Title cut by Mike Dowling whose songs have been recorded by Emmy Lou Harris, Kathy Mattea and the Nashville Bluegrass Band. Music genre influences within this album are Folk, Western (with Yodeling), Bluegrass, Celtic, and Old Time Fiddle & Swing. 14 cuts, 5 original tunes,
