    First of all, you might have noticed that the title of this new recording has no association with a song title. Those of you who know us & have followed our music can guess that Les’ overall irreverence for most subjects and his singular sense of humor about free range chickens, turkeys and other green & organic trends to date was certainly a PART of the reason for choosing this title. As folk musicians we are allowed & even expected to make fun of all things……& in our ranching & “aggie” realm, how delightfully appropriate this title is! However the other distinct reason is that, as usual, Prickly Pair & the Cactus Chorale has pushed the envelope once again in seeing how diverse & free rangin’ their song ideas, creations, arrangements, styles and flavors can be & still be considered cowboy & western……….ah, that cutting edge, we never get tired of coming up with MORE ! Thanks to ALL the folks who have followed us down this uncharted trail. Les & I have been playing music all our lives & playing music together since 1993 which now makes our stint as cowboy musicians with this band as having a lifespan of 17 years. This new offering also features the incredible vocal prowess of Norman Winter. Since joining us in 2007 on bass & vocals, his presence and talent have launched our sound to new dimensions, new hilarity & new highs! Get ready for a corker!
